Cool thanks for the advice compression. would welding each joint slowly with lots of cool down time alleviate that issue ?
I'm still working on the lid and all the hardware, will update when complete.

That looks cool, Want to share some dimensions when your done? I want to cut it on the cnc.
You've just been jacked. Useing that shit
Wheres it gettin mounted? Was this copied off the oem? Or did you jabe plans to fit it in some cool place
I just started cutting the material and went with it. No measurements, blueprints, set up, or layout of any kind before hand. I love making one-off pieces that are unique.Me too! How are you cutting? Or do you have a sheer? I have a short route fmic so stock location doesnt work unless thing is short

The two "front" faces were cut via vertical band saw, the rest were sheared. I have an ETS short route as well with no fitment issues.

Thanks!
I really wish aluminum was magnetic for times like this and tacking it up
it won't melt just for tacking. I have those also. They work well.Cnc cutting this weekend. Hit me up if you want anything.
Those beads look to far apart. When your do a leak test its more prone to leak. You need close beads to ensure a better seal. But other then that its not bad. !

I'm confident in saying its water tight.
. Glad it wasn't a 6000 series or I would still be trying.
