Some garbage.
Also, what is the point in having flex pipe between the waste gate and dp? I don't see any areas that should flex or expand at different or extreme rates to cause a problem. Never understood it, please explain.

^^^ That is gorgeous! I will have another chance to get at my exhaust. Found a local 4g63 guy with a huge very high dollar tig and shop. And got my dp on the car to find it was done wrong, angled up towards the firewall LOL. So will drive the car over and do it this next weekend.

I'm sure its for different wastegates prob aren't exact so... yeah. But in my honest opinion Idgaf! Mine will not have a flex tube because I don't want it to flex, I want it to firmly support the wastegate. The wastegate is bolted to a stiff manifold, the dump tube is part of the downpipe which is bolted to a stiff pc connected to the stiff manifold. There should be no movement between the parts.

Here is my most recent welding job out of my cheezeball racing garage. It's a first attempt at a pie cut O2 housing. No fancy tools to get the angles and only used a 4 1/2" grinder with a cut off wheel to make the cuts. My welder isn't set up for gas so no pretty welds but it works.
I used a cardboard template to dummy up the angles, an internet printed image of a protractor for the angles, paper templates to transfer to the pipe, and bought flanges.

Yea I actually started thinking about that, because that flanges are shouldered and trying to put a wastage in and out might be a pita.
Anyway, next project for my dads friend.

My first time welding a notched pipe end. Just letting you know ahead of time it's not a crack, a scratch from the vice.

Do your self a favor and buy bends. You can get 120 degree bends in much tighter radius than U bends. The time you spend cutting, prepping and welding plus the gas and filler you use to weld up pie cuts is not worth it.

I have done it both ways, pie cuts can work out ok but its just not worth the hassle.

I used a 120*. It is perfect for going straight under the oil pan. Depends on how you do it, you'll have lots of room or very little room. I'm thinking of redoing mine due to I'll have to remove my exhaust to change my oil. LOL. Whoops! haha.

^^^ LOL I'm a 1pc Turbo Back currently. Can't afford to spend cash on Vband clamps. 4 cost 100 bucks!

Well I will be 1pc tomorrow. Gonna do my dp portion and the wastegate and then finish up the exhaust. Very low profile. Gonna shove 10ft of straight pipe up there where its not even visible if you tried to find it, and then a couple 45*'s to wrap around the rear end and up to the.... 3ft more straight pipe hehe

My longevity 200sx came in last night! Never touched a tig in my life. Unfortunatly i dont have any filler rod to play with. But theres no way i could refuse the tempation to at least melt some metal!
