Has it ever occured to you guys that they arent as thick yellow as the photo is showing?
They actually look like if they were directly from the factory.
If you look at it (not picture) you can easily see the reflectors and the lightbulb. So yes. I think they will do just fine. Much better than LaminX or whatever wrapping. But, thats just my opinion.
So why don't just cool down with the shitty comments, please. Try to be constructive.

The lights you saw weren't covered with a film of any sort, they were HID fog lights, which run at a very low temp giving them the yellow look along with being super bright
