Having projectors with H3 bulbs, I put in some $5 yellow bulbs from Advance Auto like 2 years ago, and I will say yes, be prepared to get hassled, I only kept them in for a week.

To me it just seems funny to here some of you getting crap from law enforcement. because Ive had bulbs from japan that i bought for my old civic i had for over a year and i was never touched once, so that sucks for those out there that are under tougher restrictions i guess .. but I'm also from the prairie were cops still hang out at the local Denny's a 12 am and were all out doing some interstate runs!! so the whole point i bought the head lights was because of better vision in crappy weather such as fog, snow "up here we have some of that stuff", rain, and just normal daily driving they were great too! as far as putting them on DSM's i guess on the right car they would look great!! but every one is entitled to their own opinion and with that said its your car your mind your creation so do what you like not what others like or think is cool.

The housing on the celica look like they would still have white beams, notice how everything but the one tube is yellow, all they way through. I think that would be the way to do it, you wouldn't get hassled as long as you had white beams.

Hey guys I took my fog lights off to make way for my fmic and because they honestly looked liked crap. What I want to do now is get some yellow fog lights and place them on the inside of the bumper, not in the stock location. Anybody have a pics of their car with yellow fogs? I like the ones on the SRT-4 and the IS300 but I'm not sure if I would be able to use those?

my uncle has an is300 with the yellow fog lights, and yes, they kick ass. all you would have to do is go to your local auto shop, and see if you could afford them and how you would mount them. i'm guessing you'd be able to use a simple rocker switch to engage them, or even hook them back into your stock fog light engage switch...

IVe got them.. .But one of the fog lamps are ou so i cant get you a pic. But.. They go real nice with SilverStars or cool blue headlights. Looks like youre basic lexus at night.. Think i got the lamps from Autozone for like $40 or something. It was a while ago.

in order to have the yellow fog lights do you need to purchase just the bulbs??? or is it an entire fog lamp set in yellow??? i been dying to get them yellow on the 2g but dunno how to approach it; let me know peoples!!!

The lights you saw weren't covered with a film of any sort, they were HID fog lights, which run at a very low temp giving them the yellow look along with being super bright

i actually just did this...since the factory fogs wouldnt fit because of the FMIC i have some small ones from autozone mounted and i took them apart, painted the inside and outside of the lense with stained glass yellow paint(like the srt guys do because their fogs dont come yellow factory) and put them all back together. Once it gets dark out Ill snap some pics and post them up with the HIDS on

I did this install on my eclipse with some yellow ion H3 replacement bulbs for the stock fog lights that I got off ebay for a total of 10$ shipped.... dirt cheap and for the price the results are great and the install wasnt a pain in the ass as most people say... its really quite simple... here are what they look like on my car... these pics really dont do it justice, they do give the appearence of the yellow lexus HID style fogs at some angles, just not in my pictures

You can also take your clear/white bulbs and paint them with a high temp stained glass paint that can be found at any art store. I have done this on a civic with oem fog lights and there has been no problems with the bulbs getting to hot, burning, or going out for over 2 years since they were first painted.

aftermarket bulb or get the YELLOW Lamin-X Film you can use yellow glass stain spray too

Any idea on where to get theese, or how to do a descent custom job myself?

Also, do you guys have any idea on a foglight that isn't original that will fit perfectly on my car?

Check your states rules. In most it is illegal to have any tint on lights.

I'm from Norway. Here they dont say anything on yellow fog's. And as long i'm driving with my sleepy headligts, i can have yellow "narrow lights" also.

Just put some film on them. If you get pulled over, you get pulled over. Im sure it wouldnt be that big of a ticket or whatever.

i did my fog lights with Krylon glass paint...came out really good...
i was going to do it with Lamin-X but i heard that the film melts or something
i had mine painted for a year or so...no fading or nothing....
