Alright guys, id like to start off by saying i have a 99' eclipse GST with about 133K miles on the motor. Ran a compression test, 170+ on all 4 cylinders. leak-down was 13% on cylinder 1, the rest of the cylinders had 3% @ 100psi. I am mechanically inclined and work as a tech, so working on my car is fun
especially making it faster.
Here is my CURRENT setup as of today.
Right now, i am only boosting 10lbs(wastegate pressure) due to the fact my mbc was acting funny and was not letting me adjust boost.
This is what i have planned for near future, let me know if you think i should upgrade something or if it is too much.
The reason why i want to go with the evo8 pump/injector setup is so i dont have to drop to 200+ dollars on an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I have been doing a bunch of research on the evo8 setup and have found that it is a pretty simple upgrade and would allow me to make more power than i currently can with my factory fueling. Just so everyone knows, I dont plan on upgrading my turbo again or running water/meth. This is a daily driver that i can have fun with but also dip on people when the time is right
So let me know what you guys think, or if there is anything i should add/upgrade. Im all ears on this and i am also up for learning new things. Also, if i do go the route of evo8 fuel pump, what type of boost levels should i expect to be running? im only at 10psi right now on factory fueling and the car feels great, i can just tell more fuel and boost would make this thing waaay faster.
