I'm still kind of new to the dsm scene and would like some input. I have a stock 95 gs-t (fwd talon with 2.0 T, correct?). I have removed the restricter for the bcs and run about 13-14psi according to my autometer boost gauge. I am wondering what mod you more seasoned tuners would go with. Its between a MBC, a fuel pressure regulator or a wideband. I'm not looking to gain 1000000000 hp with a quick mod, I'm trying to get a decent base to start to add bigger parts like cams and injectors with. Dsmlink is a must so i have already budgeted for that. if anyone has suggestions beyond those three items, please voice your opinion, and yes, Maintenance has been done, no worries about that :)

if your looking for best out of those go with wideband 1st get an innovate they hook up to link and there has been some cases of the AEM uego wideband having isssues with link. then get ecmlink and worry about other mods later you want to be able to monitor your car before trying to gain hp.

Any suggestions on a particular one?
and all that I know is done to the car is a spectre cone filter and the BCS restrictor mod. The only other possibility are cams, but I have no idea how to tell without pulling the valve cover, and i have reason to believe they are stock.

Why do you think it might have cams? If you're not 100% sure that that's all that was done to it then post up some pick and we will help you.

I have a innovate MTX-L wideband and love it.

descovering what cams are in there would definitely be a cool little bonus if they are something other than stock. That may direct your modding path a bit.

Why would you think a car that is pretty much stock has cams?
I have no base or comparison to a stock vehicle, and so I have no idea what this is compared to stock. and i will try and look. is it something i can see from the oil cap or is the valve cover coming off for that?? and what material is the cover made of, does anyone know?

Intake and 1 gen bov to hold the boost. If you turn up the boost, then you are going to need a wideband as a precaution.

intake, 1 gen bov, boost controller
intake, 1 gen bov, wideband
intake, 1 gen bov, exhaust.

The valve cover? It's made from the worlds finest craptastic cast aluminum. Seriously, they crack if you look at them wrong so be careful tightening the bolts.

If your car was stock when you got it and the previous owner didn't say it had cams it probably doesn't its not a mod someone would normally do with no engine management (ecmlink, etc...) Or doing other mods first. You would need to pull the valve cover to look.

+1 for Innovate MTX-L wideband. After that I say exhaust, 1g bov (or almost any other), Walbro 255 fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. Dsmlink can be done before all of these, but it's not a necessity, just VERY nice to have.

This guy doesn't need to be modding his car, he needs to be figuring out how one works.
Read up, then proceed to maintenance to ensure your car is in perfect working order, then maybe, just maybe you should proceed to making more power. There is no point in modifying and dumping money into a car if you're just going to tear it up and pass it on to the next guy

Well to begin with I would like to thank everybody who posted up until Mantega. As for you mantega, you should really learn how to read before you go posting in other people's threads. My original post clearly states that all of my maintenance has been done and my car is ready to start having power added to it. So I do believe the only person who needs to learn anything here is you because everybody up until you clearly was able to read that.

Alright so I will be ordering the wideband next Friday. Any install tips or are they relatively straight forward?

I wouldn't bother installing a wideband on a stock exhaust system unless you intend to keep it for a while. I would get a 3" dp to install the bung in at least, really a full 3" exhaust would make the most sense. Unless you don't mind doing it twice (welding a bung on the exhaust system that is). I agree that out of the list you gave the wideband would be the best purchase. I have a plx and it works great with link for me.

Good quality cone air filter. 2.5 inch exhaust, which is good til about 400 ponies so if you plan for higher than that or want louder exhaust, go 3 inch. 1g bov, the stock plastic 2g bov is worthless. then wideband and a tuning software. good place to start imo

He gave you the best advice so far. Researching and making your own informed decisions will always be better than taking subjective advice from strangers on the internet.

The wideband install isn't straight foward. You will have to remove your down pipe and have a bung welded in. By the time you pay for that and new gaskets, you would have been better of buying an aftermarket down pipe.

This website and RRE have upgrade paths. Just follow either and you will be fine

I'm going to agree with wideband & Link. Learn to tune your car and get it running perfectly before throwing parts at it.
I'm a fan of Innovate's widebands, you can't go wrong with an MTX-L.

definitely check your maintenance items before spending any money on mods. Especially your timing belt, and the timing itself, because on my 420a I had the timing off one tooth and it loped like it had cams and a full race tune :coy:. I know you didn't metnion your car loping, but still something to check out

Welding and splices are not a problem,
