i probably should have mentioned that im looking for at least 500 wheel but nothing really over 600. also whats a good clutch for this power range? as well as internals obviously. ive heard once you hit that 450 mark the bottom end need some upgrading. 7 bolt.

Basically, a good healthy engine, proper size injectors and turbo including all supporting mods and lastly something to tune it with. Don’t forget all the maintenance too.

all maintenance has been done to the car already. i am in need of a link so anyone with a v3 feel free to send me a pm. still need a clutch as well and might have to build up some internals. thats why im asking all of you dsm'ers

Not sure on which clutch is best for 500 wheel but the info is out there. And yes, bottom end is a must for that level.

if you have the time id really appreciate some advice from you. what parts would you buy to build it up. 7 bolt btw and money isnt an issue, not to sound cocky.

Someone will chime in on building the bottom end. I’ve had basically stock motors on both my dsm’s and only got the 2g to just over 400awhp.

Start with the turbo and go from there man. The build’s based on the direction you want it to go, and the turbo chosen to get you there. The rest falls into place.
500-550whp is ‘expensive’ territory.
Yes. Lots of guys here 375-400whp on bottom end. I’ve read through the 68HTA dyno thread and have seen 20G results on people making around 415-425 on stock bottom end. I personally wouldn’t go much higher than 400-425 on the bottom end for a long time. Idk if it can sustain that or not. Just cause some people have laid down more doesn’t mean the parts aren’t stressing. If it’s over the mechanical limit of the part, you can only do it so many times before she goes.

PM me and I can raddle off recommendations if you want?

Don’t make 13 threads asking the same shit. There are a lot of guys that are going to see the title and will come in here offering their time and advice. Just be patient.

I would go with a fel-pro head gasket, lose the aeromotive fuel rail, go with an fp-red and go with some br8es plugs. Fel-pro composite because that's what has worked for me and countless others while not requiring a great surface to bond to. FP red because it's a perfect match for 5-550hp. Nobody I know uses the br8eix plugs as they don't appear to offer much of an advantage but cost a lot more.

I live and die by iridiums, but am moving away from them. I change plugs quite often and mess around with gaps, etc. that the iridiums become less appealing. I have had nothing but great results with them. Every car I own gets a set.

What’s up with the Aeromotive rail. I liked that one.
If you’re going FP Red I say go Black. I always says this —> Same turbine wheel anyway, might as well get the compressor to go with it.

Not to thread jack, but I am curious about FP’s turbos (familiar with 68/71HTA, not so much FP Green other than wheel specs)
Would the green hit 550? Reason I ask is it may make for a faster spoiling turbo than a Red or Black. Again this is mainly for my info but it is also relative to the OP.
