Yup. Unless you like doing 6k clutch side steps. Not good for anything. There is no downside to a 4 spider except cost.
Have you looked into TRE?
It is more of a question of how you use your car. Every time you launch it, you risk breaking center diff. Usually, it doesn’t become a problem until drop below 12.5’s, but it can happen on slower cars, if their encounter wheelhop.
Another thing to keep in mind is that center diff failures are not always benign... Depending on how your spider gears fail, fragments could come out of the diff housing, make their way to the front diff area and that usually causes them to go through your tranny case!
I think that if you launch your car more than a couple of times a year, you should get the upgrade.
