im building a non turbo 6 bolt with forged internals (also being blueprinted). I heard if i remove my balance shaft i will have high oil pressure (over 100 psi). I plan on running an hx35 turbo set up. Do i or do i not need this (HLA Pressure Regulator) Kiggly Racing - kigglyracing.com . Any input would be much appreciated. Just want to make sure my build is going in the right direction.

You should look into porting the oil filter housing and if you are getting the head milled, also read up on the oil port mod on the cylinder head.

Filter housing:

Cylinder head:

These two mods work great. Performed these both after i recently tore my engine down. I too have the balance shafts removed. Lowered my oil pressure and supplied proper flow through the head. Look into these mods before coming to a conclusion about the HLA pressure regulator.

The Kiggley HLA pressure reg will only control the oil pressure to the HLAs, not the engine.

The porting of the pressure relief will be the main one, to drop oil pressure.
