High oil pressure

When I take off in low gears my oil pressure sky rockets
And I looked under my hood and the sending unit was unplugged..
Now I thought it should read anything if that wasnt plugged in?

What the helll is going on

If you ground the wire it max the gauge, it probably touching something.
