oil pressure high

Did searching, and nothing came up.

My oil pressure is absurdly high. It's actually gone down, but i want to know what's causing it so i can prevent any damage it might cause if it happens again.

That's what it was at at a cold start. when it warmed up, it would go up somewhat further.

Lately its been running at that line that's just under 1\2.

any ideas? when I first got the car it was running 20 PSI (supposedly.) My Manifold PSI gauge topped at 18psi. I turned my boost controller out, and now it top' at 12-14 psi and the the oil dropped down to what I think is normal oil PSI.

Here's the cars mods. Car pulls real hard still (When it gets traction )

oil cooler could have a restriction. but you didnt pist any pressure readings so i cant say what is high. genral rule is around 10 psi/1000rpm on dsm

I was having picture problems but i fixed it so please see it.

Mine doesn't read Via numbers. its the stock gauge.

Even though the stock gauge is accurate, you would be better off taking an actual reading from the head and oil filter housing with an aftermarket gauge. If your block had the balance shafts remvoced, you will have an increase of oil pressure. None of the gauges have actuall numbers, just the hash marks.

If you are concerned about it being high and your view of high oil pressure is where the needle is at now, you are fine. The oil pressure shown is in an alright place.

Also, change "your vehicle" as you are listed as a non turbo just so people don't get confused.
