I have replaced my clutch in my car due to the springs in the last clutch going out. The old clutch and pressure plate looked fine, but the springs had no tension. Put in the new OEM clutch and i hadnt drove it for more than three weeks and it did the same thing as the previous clutch, only this time i could easily bump my car out of gear while driving without using the clutch. Now my car sits because of lack of funds to repair. Can anybody tell me what would cause this to happen on a new clutch with only a few hundred miles on it.

We do need a little bit more info on your particular problem.

What clutch did you put in?
What lead you to believe the clutch disc springs were bad? Were you having harsh engagement problems? Or deceleration vibrations?

What are the symptoms:
You can push the clutch down and it doesn't let you put it in gear?

Where is the engagement point of the clutch? Is it just off the floor or is it towards the top of the pedal travel?

Did you get the flywheel resurfaced with the clutch install?

Did you do the clutch install yourself or did a shop do it?

I'm guessing it's a disengagement problem. If you resurfaced the flywheel without shimming the clutch pivot ball then your engagement point will be a lot lower in the pedal travel than if you were to shim it. When, Why, and How to Shim Pivot Ball

Either that or your clutch master and slave cylinders are worn and need to be replaced, bled, and adjusted. Until you have verified that the master, slave, shimming, and resurface of the flywheel was all done correctly you will not have a good disengaging clutch.
