I was gone for a day and when i got back i started my car, It started just fine, pulled it out of the garage and started trying to put on the body kit. Gave up on the kit and put the orig. body back on. at 6am my mom told me i was in the way of her car, so she tried to start it, it would not start it, tries to start but wont turn over completely. any help will be appreciated!

We need more info. Is it cranking like normal but not trying to fire? Or, is it cranking and trying to fire, but not starting. Give us more info and we can help.

mines doing the same exact thing and i cant figure out why...but mine was just parked and started this stupid stuff..

what happend? and what do you have to do? find anything out? i have a video with just black, that has the sound my my car starting, but i do not think i can post videos or can i?

Are you getting fuel/spark etc. How do your plugs look? Are your wires new? Did you unplug anything while doing the body kit?

im not sure what the machanic did when i was at work. It's my dads friend and he is stupid, overly charges and wants me to tow it to his shop. that will cost a lot and he charges 80 an house screw that! i was thinkin that its not getting fuel to the engine, but i dont know anything about cars really, to be honest.

I personally have not checked! I am not sure how some kid, I know who owns a dsm, in conifer also said check something on the fuel rail? where ever that is? and I do not know how to check the spark.

Sounds like either the CAS, the power transistor, or up to the ECU went bye-bye...

Mine did the same thing. Replaced coil, CAS and ECU to get my ride on the road again.

Now, if you're a '92, especially a mid '92, then you got the 7bolt in that Eclipse. Look on the sticker in the driver's door panel and look in the upper right corner for the month and date. If early 92 up to June, then you got the 6 bolt, and any later will be the 7bolt which doesnt have a CAS.

Another dreaded though, if it's the 7bolt is that the crank is walking and it took out the crank sensor bolted in front of the crankshaft sprocket...

How to check for spark is to take all the plugs out and lay then across the top of the head cover then hook up the plug wires to them, then watch the plugs while another person cranks it over. Before you do, pull the MPI fuse (the right fuse in the block that is attached to the positive cable side of the battery - this keeps the injectors from firing fuel in the bore..) then do spark test.

That's what these guys are telling you... It's pretty easy to check spark, any skatebord kid from colorado could figure out how to do it...LOL...Just messing with ya..

Get the plugs out, hook them up to the wires, DO NOT FORGET WHERE THEY GWTF!!r you can do them one by one, or lay them right above which cylinder they came out of.. take out that fuse mentioned above, have buddy or your dad turn it over, watch for spark. like these guys said..

You might be able so hear the fuel pump turn on if you listen hard enough..Get in car, close doors and hatch.. turn the key to on position and you should be able to hear the pump from the back turn on..

this guy like bs's the whole thing, saying it would cost like a thousand for a ecu. when i looked on ebay and they are under 100! its making me so mad, I cant tow it to a shop and no one will help me! the mechanic said he cant do a check for almost a week. i cant wait that long, this is my daily driver!

Ebay my freind...Get one from ebay or, check our classifieds section..If you can get it for 100 it'll cost you a hundred dollars to fix..It probly takes ten minutes to swap out an ecu..If it's your 1st time..But you don't for surely know it is the ecu..Well if it's not you can re sell it i guess..

When my ecu took a poop on me, the previous day it started, ran for a few minutes, then died. It did this 3 times. The next day it did nothing, it wouldn't even crank. Nothing.

Personally I don't think its the computer, I check the transistor and the coil first with a probe.

you need to do a compression test...sounds to me you may have bent valves/timing off...theres no compression to that motor.
