wont start

just installed a jdm and it wont start. now i sure i did some thing wrong. im getting fuel, when i turn the key i can hear the start make noice. but when i looked at the crank its not turning over all. can i install the starter wrong?

I'm sorry, but you just walked right into that one.

Did you install the torque converter bolts? Maybe the starter is only turning the converter. I'm sure you COULD install the starter wrong, but it's not like it could go in backwards or anything.

And seriously, sorry for the ribbing, it's all in good fun.

EDIT: I saw the clutch in your mod list, so nevermind the torque converter idea.

Yeah I noticed that, and I wasn't sure if the 3.0 had the ring gear on the converter on those too, but I think it does. Not that it matters anyway, it's not an auto.

I'm guessing you installed a new JDM motor. Please be a little more specific with details too. Make sure you timed the motor correctly!

the engine and trans came installed. and i did chack the timeing on the belt looks good and i redid the cas. but why would it not turn the engine over? what else should i look for?

its a 5speed
