Hey guys,

I moved to puerto rico about 9 months back, when my car was shipped here the battery ended up dead, i replaced it and the car was working fine.
Today i woke up, started the car, it started fine. I was a little low on oil so i turned it off, put in some oil and turned it back on. It started and drove fine. I drove down the street about 5 minutes, turned the car off and rolled up my windows. As i rolled them up, i noticed that it seemed like the window motors on all my windows, sounded like they kept running if i was pressing the button and the window was up all the way. I remember when the window was up, the window motor sounded like it would turn off. Anyhow, i didn't think much of it, i went into my grocery store, came out and my car wouldn't start. There were no lights on in the car, nothing on the dash. it wont even click over. I had a neighbor come down and jump me, when she jumped me the first time, i decided to turn on my headlights, as i did the car shut off. She jumped me again and i was able to drive the 5 minute drive home. When i got here, i tried to turn the car back on and nothing. It still wont click over. I checked the fuses and all the cables going to my alternator and they are all seated fine. My 100A fuse doesn't look blown. I am thinking that i have an issue with my alternator and possibly battery now? What do you all think?

Sounds like an alternator to me..My eclipse had the same problem it turned out my serpentine belt came off. To test if its the alternator, put a charge on the battery for a little bit. Start it up and let it run. Then take the neg. terminal off of the battery. If it dies its more than likely your alternator. hope this helps

alternator sounds to me put voltmeter on it. put one lead on ground and other one on the alternator. (were the one wire is that you tigten it down by the nut not the plug)
see if its charging
:hellyeah:

yeah get a volt meter on that check the battery and then get it jumped and check the alt output it could be both but started with a bad alt then you were driving around draining the battery

Hey Guys,

So i went and picket up an alternator and battery today but am having trouble swapping out my alternator. I have 3 of the 4 bolts out, i am having issues getting the piviting one out. It seems to be to long to come out, Below are the pictures to help what i am talking about, is there a trick to this? or do i have to remove something else to get at it?
