Do you want me to explain it to you or do you want to take the initiative and possibly do some research of your own to find the answer?

It does work. But will grind first and fifth half the time. Trust me it can be driven like this but it's wrong to kill your trans over cables. I grabbed some 91 cables to go with my 91 tranny and it shifts good now. I guess my 91 had 90 cables in it, when puchased. There is a 1/2" diffrence in arm length between 90 and 94

Will awd ones work to make every one and asshole above happy prove that oh the synhcros are ####ed

If the syncro's are screwed it's because you used the wrong cables, the wrong fluid, and you were slamming it into gear. I don't care if it worked for a week or a year, using the wrong components and abusing your transmission is what caused the damage.

Fix whatever is broken inside the transmission, change the cables and cable bushings, verify that you have the correct cable bracket on the transmission, make sure the clutch is adjusted properly, check the clutch fork and pivot ball for wear, check the clutch pedal assembly for wear, make sure the master and slave are working properly, bleed the hydraulic system, check the torque on the bellhousing bolts, make sure the pressure plate and disc are in good condition, and replace your GL-5 fluid with GL-4 fluid.

If I forgot anything I'm sure somebody will point it out. That should keep you busy for a few weeks or more.

Ok but it worked fine before no grinds or anything. I didn't have to push hard to get it into 1st it went in nice and easy to every gear.

Its probably because they were in a spot where they were fine. When i had a 91 trans in my 90 i had to adjust the piss out of the cables and that still wasnt even enough. I had to actually remove one of the bolts in the shift cable bracket that bolts to the trans and rotate it forward. If it worked before and not now you just might have put the cable bracket back on not in the "sweet spot." I would just get the right stuff.

BTW i broke a shift fork and murdered 1st gear synchro in 2 91 trannys that were in my 90, then i finally got the correct parts.

Dude screw you I didn't "abouse" that tranny but whatever I'm done with this thread

I tried adjusting the shift linkage and I had to tighten front to back all the way and have to slam it into 1st

So slamming it into gear when it doesn't want to go is not abusing the transmission? It seems like you came into this thread with the idea stuck in your head that the problem with your transmission could not be your fault. You'll never get the problem fixed with that attitude.
