Tranny wont go into 5th and Reverse

I got my transmission back from the rebuilders and it wont go into 5th or Reverse. Its not the transission i can do it manualy under the hood! its something with the dam cables its like there not long enough well under the dash the cable pushes to far inwards i can pull it all the way in by hand and it passes the lever which it hooks on and under the hood the cable dose go far enough in to enguge the 5th and R. I tried adjusting the cable which some poeple say u can while others say you cant! And last it said to use mr-6 fuild or redline which neather was sold here so i used 2g manual tranny fuild bought at the mitsu place for $45 for 3qts and used in the tranny but if it was a fuild issue it wouldnt go into R or 5th at all would it even manualy would it?

I got it to go into R one time by pulling the cable out my self and switching it into R while it was running and it went in fine so i know its a issue with the cables i just dont know how to fix it.

Did you check a repair manual to see how to adjust the cables correctly? Might check there as it will have pictures to go with the description. It really isn't hard.

I got it it was the arm that the linkage hooked to got bent somehow i think during shipping

No think u sence it was moved to a read only fourm im not touching it (Cant anyway)if the mods dont like it they can delete the whole thread! And as i recall saying i was unhappy with a product is'nt bashing them which eather way the problem was not on my end and to the loser crimsondragon saying it was incompetence u suck! cause there was no incompetence here cause im pretty sure i know what im doing i did about 7 trannys alrdy in all types of rides cause some of use arnt rich yuppies and cant afford to pay a sleezey shop $600 or more to install it for us!
