With Car to make into a Race Car?

I'm not a newbe but i'm trying to decide. I Got a 93 Black Tsi AWD a month ago. And I just got a 97 Black GSX. And I have the set but I'm wondering car to mod the H out of. I'm going to mod both but one will have a 2.3l and one with a 6 bolt withour balance shaft. Til I can build a 2.0L. In a year I want the best of both worlds and maybe a BLACK EVO MR in a year.

I would mod the older one. You will be replacing everything on it anyways, and older things tend to break. Make the newer one your daily driver, because it is newer and less likely to break. Would your Tsi happen to be at Cpr at the moment?

No it not at CPR. I have 3 DSM. But I make the 97 a daily driver. I'm going to be Drag and weekend umm Crusing..

Because it all depends. I pay cash for my cars so depends if I have that much saved.

I'd say rock the 2g as a daily and 1g all out race... if you have money for a EVO then just put that into the 1g and you can make it handle better and be faster then a EVO with no money to spend on it after you buy it.

i guess it comes down to if he wants a brand new car or not.

I sure as hell would, but I wont have that kind of money untill I graduate college (2 years) and when im ready for a new car I wouldnt buy an evo with it. something like a vette or 04 cobra suits me better.

That's what I was thinking to do. I have almost all the parts I need just need to get the dsmlink in a few weeks and roll cage. And I'll put some rims and exhaust on the 2g. And chilli I guess. More I think about it I don't need a evo MR but. I'll see. Look for low 11's and high 10's this year. Thanks for the help.
