Why does Innovate recommend a 1amp in-line fuse in the on/off relay circuit? Is it even needed? I know there is a 5 amp fuse for the power circuit. I just don’t understand why the relay side needs one, especially since the relay wiring for the fuel pump rewire doesn’t call for it. TIA

I run my aem gauges on 5 amp fuses. Good to have a fuse inbetween the relay and the gauge for extra safety. Guess thats what they want there to protect their electronics. I wouldn’t guess it’s needed. But i would follow what they say for installation for warranty purposes.

I ran a fuse between the relay and the gauge but I skipped the fuse between the 12v switched and the relay. It was calling for a 1amp fuse between the 12v switched and the relay. Seemed like overkill to me. Also I didn’t trust a 1 amp fuse not to blow and since I’m running the WB in the stock O2 sensor site I didn’t want to lose that input if it blew. I figured the 5 amp fuse pre gauge was adequate. So far so good. Thanks for responding though!
