Of course it's always good to drain the coolant and put in a fresh mixture if it's been a while or your not sure of the last time it was done. I always like to make sure my plugs and wires are in good condition as well as a fresh fuel filter. Another thing to do is switch to a lighter weight engine oil. For example if you are running 10w-30 in the summer you might want to switch to 5w-30 for the winter months. Check all of your fluids and make sure they are topped off cause the last thing you want is to have a problem from something simple like not checking your fluids. Make sure to check your tire pressures too as they will go down in cold weather because of the contracting air. Good luck:thumb:

I don't think there is any need (unless your weather is -15oC) to go down to 5w-30 as I use to do that and I was loosing oil as its very thin! And I've never had any issues with keeping 10w-30 all year! I change mine in oct then april so I hit the peak seasons for weather change here in the UK! Fuel filter isn't really a must I'd just stick to the 2 year service for that unless you keep running your tank past the 3/4 level? Spark plugs are changed before winter yearly to avoid any residue on them and a good engine clean I find always keeps everything in check as you tend to find something odd and a clean engine is a healthy engine LOL! I use a bit or slick 50 in the engine and trans to keep it all at its peak performance! Also add more coolant then water in your system and add a little vodka in your washer bottle to stop it freezing! I don't do this but I know people who do and has never froze on them since! Tires must be pumped and checked every few days during winter! Other then that's its just keeping an eye on the levels! Drive safely in winter hope all the info you receive will help.
