My drivers side window doesnt seem adjusted right. It seems to "sag" towards the inside of the car and I have to slam the door to get it. When I open the door it pops open really far because the glass is like strained when the door is shut. The window will go all the way up because its pressed against the weatherstripping so hard. I tried adjusting the track with the allen screws. Didnt seem so make a different no matter what i did.

Here you can see the gaps in between the window and the trim

Window touches the weather strip when door is still about 2 inches away. I know that the window will press against the weatherstripping, but definitely not this much.

Yea, I know it has to lean in a little, but not this bad. The passengers side is fine, but the drivers side seems like its putting stress on the glass when the door is closed.

I added the 4 pages on window adjustment on my photobucket account for you.

I have the exact same problem, I just switched the guts from one door to another on my street car and now I have a huge gap there as well. I dont see the pages on your photobucket account anymore?

Kyle did you get yours resolved?

hey kyle, i actually just had mine apart 2 days ago and i live up in wisconsin. can you push the window outward or is it actually being forced inward?

My door/window was fine until I swapped all the guts from one door to another door shell, I used all the same parts so it shouldnt need new weather strips. I will mess with mine more tonight but it would be nice to have an idea of what to adjust.

Back from the grave, I was wondering if anybody had same issue and were able to fix it? I was assembling my doors back and my driver side developed mentioned "sag". I played with track ajustments a little, but it was late and I got nowhere. I will look closely into the issue next time but in the meantime throw me some points to look at.

Same issue here, I haven't been able to adjust it to fix the issue either. This did nothing for me

The gap between the trim and the window is so large, there's nothing holding the window from rattling on door close. So I close it softly otherwise I'm worried I'll shatter the glass one of these days.

@curt-s , if your window is rattling bad in up position that could be a sign of broken plastic hook, mine had that issue too.

I have replaced all the window hardware and its rock solid in every position, but when its all the way up it "sags" and creates huge gap between the exterior trim and the window.

If you're talking about that U-shaped plastic clip, mine are intact. It might have been something that has forced the bottom of the window outwards enough to bend the doorskin, I'm not sure.. but you can stick a spoon between the trim and the window when it's fully rolled up.

So I'm reporting back that I finally got my window to sit in the door correctly. It is certainly not a quick process because adjusting one point will affect entire window system.

I have attached the pages from the FSM manual that helped me a lot to get started.

In my case I had to make tracks to sit as close to the inside door as possible and adjust the fur brackets to sit all the way out, towards the outside, I even added a washer to push them even further out.

What do you mean by this? Are you turning the track adjustment bolts (both front and rear) clockwise or counter-clockwise to tilt the glass away from the car? Having the exact same issue you did. Thanks!

@Brad Bell I believe turning bolts counterclockwise is making track sit out. However, in my case I had to make the tracks to sit in and make felt brakets on the top to sit out. Plus, both tracks have to have same adjustmets. Hope this helps.
