I'm hoping someone will know how I can fix this. I have searched the site over and over with no luck finding an answer... :(

I have a problem with the driver's door window on my '97 GS-T Spyder. It sealed perfectly when I bought the car 4 months ago (w/ only 32k miles, all summer). :)

Nothing that I am aware of has happened that would even stress the top, much damage it... it has been perfectly looked after.

Now, when I roll the window up, the seal is good on the front and the top of the window (it's up under and firmly against the top seal), but there is a gap on the back (against the rear window). It's a little better if I roll the window up and then shut the door, instead of shut the door and then roll the window up. WTF

I had tried to tighten the window felts at the top of the door to help reduce window rattle when I shut the door. That's when the problems started. I have tried to adjust them since then to try to fix it, but I can't figure out whether to set the front and rear felts looser or tighter against the window to fix it, and nothing has worked. :sosad:

Has anyone else seen this? Does anyone know if it can be fixed, and what I would need to do/look for?

Thanks in advance,
Jonathan

i don't know how old this thread is [09-13-2007, 08:30 PM] but i have the exact issue but on the passenger side. So if anyone has a solution to this problem that would help out a lot thanks

I was able to improve it slightly by re-adjusting the position of the window felts, however I also looked at the felts on the passenger side (which still seals perfectly) and the same felt positions didn't help. I suspect that my top is ever so slightly misaligned or bent out of shape on my driver's side.

To be honest, I can't remember which way I moved the felts to make it better.

But, if anyone out there has any experience with changing the window's alignment, and knows how to aim the back of the window more inward towards the car's center, I'm sure both of us woudl LOVE to know!
