My window trim has this big gap in it, but only in the middle. In front and in back of here it goes back to flush. It's like this on both sides. The trim looks new other than this though. Is this how it's suposed to be or is it messed up?

There's a tab thing here.

It's 1/4 inch gap on the driver side and a little less on passenger. I just need to know f this is how it's suposed to be. Do yours look like this?

I've been meaning to do a little vfaq on how I fixed it, but I gotta wait until I do the passenger side to get some pics. But basically I took it off and took that little tab out (I dont think it's supposed to be there) and put it in a vise with a towel around it so it doesn't get scuffed. Just clamp it down till a little less than 1/4 in. (it will get a little wider). Do that down the entire legnth of the trim and reinstall. Looks perfect accept for the rear side window trim is still a little out, but there's really nothing i can do about that. :dsm:

Thanks for the info, I'm going to have to try that. Mine are starting to peel paint too though, so I'm wondering if I should just buy new ones... :( I'm pretty cheap when it comes to appearance mods though, I'd rather spend money for performance.

I just took off my trim pieces to paint them and try to remove the gap like you said. I found that the tabs that you're talking about hold the trim snug to the body, so I'm a little apprehensive about removing them. On the other hand, the 10+ screws should do a fine job of keeping the trim flush. Any input?

I'll get some pics up when I have time. The tabs, at least on mine, didn't hold it to the body. They pushed the trim out. Really, it seemed like their only purpose was to mess up the trim. The trim is held really tight against the body now. It seriously looks perfect. I didn't think it would turn out that good.
