I have a Mechanical water temperature sender and when trying to put it through the engine bay it broke and I just put the wire on the thermostat housing hose will it work? Help I Haven't turned it on ye

What do you mean you put the wire on the thermostat housing? There are no wires on a mechanical gauge other than for the light.

Im trying to figer out how to post pictures but the mechanical gauge has a sender the has a fitting that screws on and it snaped the wire so i put the wire in the thermostat housing?

So you broke the probe off the line? If so than the gauge is junk, throw it in the trash.

Its the first picture you guys see the black line well it snaped the line and i just strip the line and left the metal piece. I just put the line in a hose that on the thermostat housing will this work

It's a digital gauge with an analog face, similar to the aem oil pressure "mechanical gauge" correct?

If youre saying the metal tip (the sensor) got pulled off of the wire its connected to, and you just threw the metal part away, and connected the black wire to someplace on the tstat housing... then its probably NOT going to work.

If its already hooked up, why wouldnt you just turn on the car and see if it works yourself? That would take like 3minutes vs hours of speculation
