Will This Work

yea, ive allways read about people doing the 6bolt block and 7bolt head combo. Any from what ive read it makes better performance. Ive never personally done it, but i plan to. Also i see your in fort lost in the woods, are you in the army?

are the valves, spring, lifters, valve guides all interchangeable with 1g heads and 2g heads?

i dont know about the springs and valves but i know 3g lifters work better than 1g or 2g. Also your in desoto? im real close to that, and i never see any dsm around me LOL.

it has bent valves and looks like it has been milled down alot.
Good news though I got a fairly new 1g head from a kid I met over here for free. I will be putting it all back together this weekend and hopefully next week I can get the car running as long as I don't run into anymore problems.

pop the pistons out... when the valves bent they may have pinched the ring lands and not allowing the rings to move like they should

BTW.... from what I have been reading.. the 2g flows better than the 1g head and you will need the 1g intake and the 1g does not have the cam sensor so you eill need to convert to a CAS

do some reaserch before you bolt a head down

The pistons move freely when I turn the crank so I think they are good plus there is no marks on the pistons from where the valves would have hit.
I am using the 1g manifold and the 1g cas and I know that I will have to rewire things to make the cas work.

Can I remove the pistons from the bottom of the block because I already bolted the head down. I have no experience removing pistons so how do I do it?
