Will this setup be good for 10's?

This is the bulk of my setup, and like the title says, I am just wondering if with good driving I will be able to get into the 10s. I will most likely be using 119 leaded trick gas at the track, and 30-35 psi, and reving upto 9.5k. I am still assembling this setup and it should be done in about a month. If there is anything that I should buy that I don't have, let me know. I want to get my car into the 10's but I don't know if I have the right setup. I have a full weight 2g talon awd. Thanks in advance.

Bench racing FTL!

It doesn't matter what mods you have done to your car. On paper it looks good but a car is nothing without quality work and a good tune.

I'm not trying to bench race, I am just asking if I could possible get a 10 second pass with this setup. I am just asking for peoples opinions as far as the potential of it. I realize that I will need a very good tune to accomplish any decent numbers, and I have an awesome tuner that does a top notch job and is very meticulous with what he does. My tuner is also my mechanic and he has built several fast cars, so they quality in workmanship is there. I agree fully with what you are saying about the build quality and tunning though. Thanks.

Even if Lucas English is your builder and tuner you're not going to hit 10's with that setup.

He isn't my builder or tuner, but lucas is very good nonetheless. What would you suggest changing to meet my goal? Jeff Bush has the Fp Red (60-1 variant) in his 2g, and I would imagine that he could run a 10 second pass.

I'd say the 288s are overkill and to go with some 280s. I think with a pretty solid tune and some stellar driving its achievable. You're gonna need slicks all around for sure. (this is awd right?)

I already bought the 288s, so I am kinda stuck with them. I like the lumpy idle though. My car is awd, but I wont be able to afford slicks. :( Thanks for the imput.

I had a 60-1 and i thought it was a piece of crap. In my opinion it is not able to make efficent boost required to make 10 sec passes. Even if your IC is enough it just wont do it. Your going to need more than a 255 for those 1000cc injectors and nitrous. A 10 sec pass is def possible if you change a few things. You have to make sure your motor is ready for all the boost and all timing that you want to give it.

Its not even the lumpy idle at all LOL the 288s are way too much cam. If you were aiming for 8s then sure go with them or if you had a 2.4 stroker. But here they're going to take away more power than if you had a set of 280s in there. Pick yourself up another 255 wally and throw it in the tank then you should be set for fuel.

You aren't even bench racing well. You left out a "good tune" and you didn't specify the car's weight.

Bench racing is a waste of time. You can ask all you want about your set-up/mod list, but don't ask us what your car will run down the track. YOU are better equipped to guess than a bunch of strangers on the net.
