I plan on buying a freshly built 2.3l 7 bolt. Never been fired. the motor consist of : 4g64 crank, Wiseco 8.8:1 stroker pistons, Eagle rods, B. Crower 280 cams, SI standard size vavles, bronze valve guides, SI dual springs, Manley retainers, ARP head studs.

I'm not sure what kind of machine work was done to this motor if any...... I'm just wondering what kind of power can this motor handle?, with what i have listed here!
THANKS!

The motor by itself, provided it was machinned and assembled correctly, should be good for about six hundred+. The weakest link from what you 've listed would probably be.. ARPs.

On the other note, what do you mean by not knowing what kind of machine work was done? You should better get some idea or you 'll be bying a proverbial cat in the bag. Is the price THAT nice?:D

Well i talked to the guy who had the motor built last night. I asked him what all machine work he had done to the motor, he told me that there was no machine work done! there is over 100k on the motor so that tells me thata the standard size pistons he put in is not going to work! so im gonna have to buy some more pistons and bore the block .020 over? Any help on this would be great!
What do you mean by the ARP's being the weakest link??

Well the Pistons and rod will handle pretty much whatever you through at them. The head related stuff doesnot have HP limits. The ARP's strech. That dosent mean any sort of major engine problem, just a blown head gasket. If you dont plan to make over 500whp I would not worry about the ARP's.
The eagle rods hang out pretty good. I am building a setup right now and am planning on making 700awhp. The motor has Eagle rods in it. The only thing is they need better balencing than comes from the factory IMO. If he had no machine work done, nothing has een balenced.
