Will these tires work with these rims in a 1g?

The tires I want to use are:
Maxtrek Ingens speed rated tires size 235/45ZR17 I found a very good used set cheep.

1. My car is a:
1990 AWD TSI Eagle Talon.

2. My wheel size is:
Diameter:17"
Width:8"
Offset: +1.5" or +38.09mm Towards the front of the wheel.

3. My current or future suspension height will be lowered
One to 1.5 inches or not at all if it's an issue.

4. If suspension is lowered,
Rear camber should be adjusted to???

5. Rear fender flange rolling:
I will not roll the fenders.

6. My driving style is:
Street and Autocross.

7. I have searched for and read the FAQ's, Tech Articles, and threads on wheel and tire fitment:
Yes, but I just need someone with experience to validate my choices.

What is the normal tire size for a 17x8 with 38.09 offset wheel? And what is the maximum size tire? This is for a awd 1g,

Yes, it will fit. Stock offset I think is 42mm. 38 is about perfect, so is your tire size for that rim. Dial in as much negative camber up front as possible, stock alignment specs other than that will work good for autocross. Anything other than that takes suspension mods.

I think a 235/45 tire is the ideal size for a 8in wide wheel. If you went to a 245 tire, I would do a 245/40. I wouldn't go much wider than that on a 8in wheel.
