Will my car drive at all with no rear drive shaft

So I need to do the silicon fix on my carrier bearing and I need the drive shaft out for at least a day so the silicon can fully set. Well I have a lift at work but will then need to pull the car back out overnight and put the dried and cured shaft back in the next evening.

My question is will a 1G AWD move with only the front wheel drive or will it need to be pushed? I will only need to move it a couple hundred yards, not driving it home or anything.

it will drive but i wouldn't suggest doing it. Since are cars are all wheel all the time and not 4x4.

It will move a couple hundred yards, but oil will be leaking out of your transfer case, and your viscous coupler in the center diff will be slipping.

If your only moving the car a short distance(like accross your yard or garage) if you don't romp on it and are easy on the pedal it will be good. If your talking about driving it like that then no it will not be.

just go the safer route and push it. Its a DSM, you'll need to push it at some point in its life for sure.
