1G Will engine harness from 90 GST fit 93 GS?

I bought a 93 gs and it needs a new engine harness. Whoever owned it before me diced it up pretty good; I think they tried to keep the fans running all the time because the engine would overheat. The real problem was the head was cracked, which is now fixed, but now I'm stuck with their jimmy-rigging.

I have a 1990 GST parts car with a harness in it. Do you think it could fit?

I'm pretty green to DSM's and cars in general, so I hope you'll pardon my ignorance. I do appreciate any advice!

You need to change some wires for the ecu, vfaq.com will help i think its 6 and 14.

is the GS the 1.8L or the 2.0L NT?

If you can resplice back the wires by following the color codes of the cut wires and get them back together, I'd think you'd be farther ahead than using a Turbo harness for a NT application.

Head out to those two junkyards out on Iona Rd. or at Bonneville, and see if their is any DSM's out there that more matches your setup.

What a coincidence! Don't run into too many Idahoans out here on the interweb! Nice to meet you too!

This car has a 1.8L. It actually could be just the base model. I looked around on Wiki to see what the differences are, and it just said the GS had "slightly more equipment". I've seen some cars that say GS right on the back bumper which this one does not. (I don't think anyway, it's been in the shop so long I'm starting to forget what it looked like! !) I think it has power steering, it looks to have had the factory spoiler, and it has power windows. The spoiler has been removed but the posts look like they are in the same place as factory.

I'll check out Bonneville and those other two on Iona and see what I can find. Thanks man!

I had a 1.8GS where it had pwr windows, locks, and cruise that was added to the base line of the DSM, but no rear deck spoiler, for the 2.0L GS NT line got that deck spoiler.

I grew up in the Bel-Aire dist, then we moved out to Iona before calling Nampa home ..
