My dads car seems to want to miss out while going through the motions while shifting. Doesn't do it all the time just every now and again. My thoughts it could be a bad injector or fuel pump but I'm not positive. Any thoughts?

my thoughts are, 1) maybe the plugs needs replacing or re-gapping, or 2) plug wires need to be checked for cuts/wear & replaced if needed.

more info on what the car is doing when it *does* miss would be helpful to others to better be able to help you...if possible.
