everything is stock except the afpr ..i have the afpr set to 38 psi, no leaks.

Can i have a list of reasons as to why it would run rich?
thanks guys

Vacuum leaks, boost leaks. Also your fuel pressure is low for a 2G. 1Gs run 38, not sure what your pressure should be.

make sure that is 38psi static with the vac line disconected also it would help if you had a logger to check your o2 sensor and coolant temp sensor . the cool temp sensor is where my money is at though
a logger? like a multimeter? how do check the 02 and CTS???

To test the 1g or 2g ECT sensor (2 wire one):
Unplug and measure resistance across the sensor's terminals. When cold (68F) it should read 2.45k ohms (+/- 0.24k). Warm up engine. When hot (176F) it should read 296 ohms (+/- 32). If it ever reads infinite (or more than 8k) it's bad.

The ECU staying in open loop will also make it run rich. There are many reasons like bad ECT or O2 sensors being the most common. Do you get any CEL codes?
