Will 3.5" thick I/C cause overheating?

I always thought those were 3", but it looks like they are making them in 3.5" now. I've got a Spearco 2-216 core that's a true 3.5", and only one fan, and my car runs at 180 deg. all day long. During the summer, it never gets above 190, and that's running straight water and Water Wetter.
