Wideband logging with MMCd on California vehicle

I understand that on Federal vehicles you can use the EGRT input to the ECU to log wideband O2 readings. I have MMCd running in my 1G AWD and I'm getting ready to install my LC-1 wideband, but my car is a California vehicle and my understanding is that CA vehicles use the EGRT for emmisions control.

Can I still use the EGRT input to the ECU to log my wideband?
Will this cause any problems with the proper operation or driveablity of my car?
Will I get a check engine light (CEL)?
In what way will this affect my emmisions?

Any help, suggestions or insight into this is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Anyone know the answer to this question? I also have a California ecu, but I do not live in Cali. So could I use this some how?

I ended up using the EGRT input to log my WB O2's with MMCD. I have not had a single problem doing it like this. There were no CEL's or driveability problems. I also unplugged the electrical connector at the EGR solenoid mounted on the firewall.

I've since switched over to ECMLink and still used the EGRT input to log WB O2's, also without issues.

I also learned that here in CA, they only test for Nox emissions when the car is on the rollers. My smog station doesn't have the ability to put AWD cars on the roller, so mine didn't get checked for Nox emissions which the EGR system is primarily responsible for. It would have been very easy to reconnect the EGRT input back to stock and reconnect the EGR solenoid though.
