Why Must I Adjust the Battery Terminals Before I'm Able to Start the Car?

Sometimes, whenever I go to start my car, , and its like a total loss of power. I then pop the hood, adjust the battery terminals a little bit until I hear this clicking noise in the upper left quadrant of the engine bay, and then I'm able to start my car...why LOL?

Clean your battery posts and terminals with a wire brush. After tightening them back if you still able to move them just replace the terminals since they are worn out.

Well, that is just a waste. A waste of internet space to basically inform everyone you're dependent of others.

Is that comment aimed at me? Ninja please... Fully self dependent, have built my entire car from the ground up by myself, clears 600awhp any any type of dyno on any day of the week. Did I mention I pull 24mpg's on everyday 91 pump gas?

I remember who you are MR. from montana guy. Made a mental note of it because you claim to be a diesel mechanic. Well, im an actuall diesel mechanic of almost 10years. www.fatboysfleetservices.com I work at one of the most reputable shops in my area.

Ive seen your post's which clearly state to me you dont know what your doin. "Noise pipe routed into car to make turbo sound louder" Then later say "like semi trucks do" No they dont do that. "why do these lights take 5mins to warm up? theyre LED?" Body module kid, duh, everyone knows that:tease:

No but seriously, all I was saying, that guy built a solid as f#ck race car, he is a privateer, had no big fancy COBB Tuning shop build it or none a that crap. Guy knows what he's talkin about, leave it at that. Nuff said

just a side note, when I had my VR6 I had this same problem, replaced both terminals and found out the P/O installed the wrong battery in the car(I could tighten the terminals so tight the ends of them smashed together, and I could still wiggle them free) so be sure it's the correct battery
