2G I need help, reversed battery terminals!

about a year ago I was a dumbass and when replacing the battery I reversed the Terminals. It ended up burning up a 100 amp fuse and the ecu. I replaced the ecu with matching part number it runs again but won’t idle or move under its own power and runs really rich. I’m thinking it’s a MAF sensor but I don’t want to keep throwing money at! Any advice?

It won’t start or run without feathering the gas I should say

Do you have an OBD tester... Are you getting any codes? I have a fast idle and the mechanic replaced the Maff...then he said it was the TPS.. Then he said ... and so on and so on.
Just maybe...the ECM needs to be reflashed?

Took me a second to see the tag that you have a 2g. In that case I think @Widgmaster is on the right track, try to see if you can get a code out of it and report back.

When a friend reversed the cables trying to jump my car it took out the MAF as well. I picked up another one with the same number (509?) from a junkyard from something else Mitsubishi for cheap.

I don't know how far Mason City is from Indy but if I still have my spare MAF out in the garage you can just have it. I'm running Speed Density now.
