Why does my car spin both wheels?

I was under the impression GSTs were one tire fryers. I never thought anything until today when I was practicing launching and got a little overzealous with the wheelspin. I came back and there were two big fat black marks. So I did it again and got the same results. Did my car come from the factory with LSD? Or do you think the previous owner had it installed? I highly doubt the latter as there wasn't much done to the car which is why I bought it.

Owning an AWD myself, I have limited knowledge of the FWD system. I'm sure you'll get your answer promptly. But I do know one thing for certain, no DSM's came from the factory with a front LSD.

I thought the FWD's did have a front LSD. You must if that happened. Was the car completly stock when you got it?

Fwd's never had an lsd stock.

Mine would lay twin stripes occasionally. Especially on all seasons and subpar pavement.

I have a 2g RS non-turbo which i KNOW doesnt have an LSD and i always fry both tires unless im going around corners and such. But in a straight line i always light up both tires.

With enough power/momentum through the drivetrain, even an open-diff will light both up. Case in point, my base-model '86 Rx7 before the LSD swap, and my 280ZX - neither had LSDs at first, but would still put down some BFG shreds with both rears, no sweat.

On the converse, if your diff had been beat on a fair bit, it would prefer one side to another. You know, path of least resistance, making said path easier to follow in the process.
