Who has the most UNIQUE COLOR exterior paint?

Well I might as well chime in on this one. First off I didn't do this the previous owner did. I would like to repaint it to any other color. But if you want every Honda boy and Rustang guy revving their engine at you this is the paint job for you.

I REALLY like that, 1ga's are kind of.. plain/blah? that give is charactor i think.

The sad thing is , if anybody painted their eclipse that color the first thing that jumps to EVERYBODY's mind is....

People love that lime green color. we should have a voting option at the beginning of this post with a few choices, flat black, blue, lime green, red, GUNMETAL (sexy), etc... Just a thought. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

If you want to try the gunmetal black pearl, here's where I bought it from.

Black Pearl pigment is great for making your very own metallic custom paint for autos or other projects!

It's actually a metallic pigment you mix into a clear and shoot over a base coat that will show through somewhat. The base coat will directly affect the way it will reflect light. Mine is over a black base with a coat of black microflake and then 4 coats of the gunmetal black mixed roughly 17g of the pearl per quart of clear. That is a rough guess at the pearl mix. Like I said, I just eyeballed it while mixing.

I seriously considered using the "lamborghini orange" from them also. It's a tangerine base coat, their orange pearl, and a gold ghost pearl. It looks great, I just couldn't imagine myself driving an Eclipse that color.

Bright jade is probably my favorite. Not sure if that's the correct name but I've only seen 1 in person ever and 1 other for sale.

I decided to tint my taillights, last night, and I do like it better.

okay this is the color of my car, under floresant lights. This was much easier to manipulae to give the the colors true effect.

Those color flop paints are usually pretty pricey. Who did you get that from? Alsa? It looks like it was sprayed on a flat black base coat, so getting it to look like it does in photos as in person isn't going to ever really happen, since the camerma will only catch a single angle and diminishes the effects at the curves. Same thing happens when I take a pic of mine. It either just looks charcoal silver or black, but in person the effect of the color flop is much more intense. I really like yours though. Not too heavy, as most flop paints are. The only other one I have seen on a dsm was that red to gold flop paint and it looked good too.

That is the exact color I considered for mine... I didn't think it would have looked that good, but yours looks great. Makes me wish I had done a version of that orange too. Very nice.

I painted my car BMW Carbon Black a few years ago. It's black with blue pearl mixed in. Looks black most of the time but when light hits it at the right angle you can see the blue. Very happy with the color. May not be as unique as some of the other colors out there but I thought I'd share anyways.
