white smoke caused by AC??

ok i did a search and nothing similar to my issue, (97 gsx) my car runs great no problems what so ever no overheating, loss of fluids or any leaks. i only drive it to work and back which takes 4min tops. yesterday i drove in town (15min drive) and i turned the AC on (for the first time, since summer just started), as soon as i got to a stop light and sat at idle the exhaust started to smoke WHITE so i know its not oil and it wasnt heavy just light then a little more when i started to accel. I decided to drive back home with no AC and had no problems at all also no smoke when i let it sit at idle in my drive way.

i had a white smoke problem during the winter too, but that was just for a few days on warm up, found that i had to adjust my idle screw.

weak section in the HG that's allowing coolant to be burned due to heat expansion. Could be signs of a tired compressor that needs replacing which is causing excessive work on the motor when engaged..

^+1. White smoke is always burning coolant. Do a cooling system pressure test both cold and warm.

I got the exact same problem and am glad u posted up something about this. I hadnt used my A/C until yesterday because it needed a refill, soo right after i refilled it, i drove home and at a stop light i looked at my rear view mirror and saw white smoke coming from my exhaust. When i got home, i let it idle and it was still smoking a bit, then i turned off the AC and it slowly started disappearing. Wierd!! Have u done anything yet to help out the problem?? Please keep me posted bcuz i want to fix this as well
