i was driving home from seaside today and the abs light came on, i didnt notice anything wrong so i *carefully* drove home and when i went to turn off the car i noticed a noise from the engine bay. it looked like it was the abs module in the lower right hand side of the bay but i couldnt be sure. brake fluid is all topped off and the only way to stop the noise is to disconnect the battery, so obviously the problem in electrical. any ideas?

Possibly a shorted ABS pump, hard to say for sure. Hit an Autozone or whatever random parts store and have them scan it, at least you'll get a code to point you in the right direction. You might try pulling the ABS fuse so it doesn't run while you're driving. You won't have ABS but you'll still have regular hydraulic braking.

So when would I notice anything wrong with abs? And I think there might be a leak but I can't be too sure since I have been in too much of a rush lately and it's been raining... How could it be the Abs though if I pulled the fuse and it was still running?
