2G Weird noise from engine

Anyone know what this sound could be?? the car strugles to go at idle, and whenever i give gas i can hear the turbo wanting to pull but as soon as it spins up a bit the whole car just jumps kinda. and is very bubbly and wont go clean. the car was all fine before the head gasket blew on me i changed the gasket and now im here this weird noise is coming from the engine it sounds like its under the intake? if you look at the video you can hear it really well at the end of the video anyone know what this could be?

Double check all your connections and vaccum lines. Have you plugged in a code reader?

Hard to tell. Almost sounds like a valve popping closed. You bleed the lifters prior to install? Check your timing marks and the bolts that hold down the metal covers on the head that the timing cover bolts to.

Also sounds like a massive air leak and the engine stumbling to catch itself.

Didnt bleed lifters no, and timing is correct what do you mean by the bolts that hold down metal covers?

Not sure exactly what happens when you don’t bleed the lifters, but they are rock hard if you don’t. Might want to pull the valve cover and take a look. Was thinking these two metal covers could make some noise if they’re not bolted down.

The metal cover on the others side is not bolted into anything but does that matter?

Those brackets bolted to the head and the timing cover is bolt to the bracket. I can image that’ll make some type of noise if it’s not bolted to the head

True ima get that bolted on, but tbh the sound that its making doesnt really sound like it could be that.

Yeah get those brackets bolted on since they're close to the cam gears. Check compression also. Really sounds like a valve popping closed. Did you disassemble the head when you did the hg?

yea i removed the camshafts and cleaned them but i didnt bleed the lifters

Check compression and leak down if the numbers are off. Then remove the valve cover and spark plugs. Visually inspect everything. Then have someone rotate the crank and make sure all valves open and close all the way.

Okay thanks, after some close listening im very sure its from the cams, tbh when i got the timing correct it was very hard getting the camshaft sproçkets right ut would always jump a head when i got it right maybe that was the problem that i didnt lift the bleeders?

No that's normal. You're fighting the springs trying to get the marks liked up on cam gears. Use two zip tie on the intake cam so it stays in place while you adjust the exhaust cam to line up the marks.

Okay i understand, i got it all to lign up so all the marks should be good i will look more into that sound today any tips on what i should look for or how?

Inspect the cam shafts and rockers. When it’s rotating, make sure the all the springs move up and down evenly. Also check the lobs on cam shafts for any strange marks

Thanks som much for the hjelp brother! I found out the problem the problem was the intakte manifold gasket. I Even changed the gasket but i guess the gasket i got was pretty trash so i will but a OEM one this time i has this test where i screwed it in where you have the spark plugs and then put air in the engine and i felt and heard alot of air coming from the intake manifold. Thanks alot to everyone trying to hjelp really appreceate it.
