which would b better...2.0 or 2.0 turbo

hey...ive got 1000$ to spend, which engine would b better, the 2.0L...or the 2.0L w. turbo?...right now...ive got the1.8L non turbo, so anything would b better, but out of the two, which would b better for mods, or upgrades, or anything, the kid i could get either of them from wants 800 for either, with the ECU, and wiring harness...so...any opinions, or anything?

Depends on the driver. I get over 25mpg in my car and it puts down nice HP numbers. As long as you keep it out of boost while daily driver you will be fine. Read this for what you need to swap.

For a decent running motor and the list of stuff you will need because you are a 1.8 not 2.0 is going to be extensive.

I say sell you car and find a cheap gs-t or gsx on a forum. Will be a much better decision than doing the swap.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if you're looking for the most bang for your buck, sell the non-turbo 1.8 Eclipse and spend that extra $1,000 on a decent turbo model. Unless you're die-hard on swapping engines.

yeah..i like the 94 non turbo body style..im not taking anything the wrong way tho...dont worry..i asked for all ## opinions...i appreciate anything i get...yeah...im going with buying the 2.0L turbo from him for 800...with the ecu/wiring harness...thats an extra 200 for any extra conversion parts ill need...i know ill need more than the extra 200...but i get paid saturday(tomorrow)..so ill have a lil extra more...plus...ive already done a few things to my non turbo already, so i dont want to get a whole new car right now...thanx for all of the input, anything else...just go ahead and say it...thanx again...
