Now that there are some recent install posts, I was curious
which o2 housing the T04b guys had the least problems with
and what downpipe was used?

I've asked around, punishment racing makes a nice one,
curious if the evoIII o2 housing would be a problem.
It would take me weeks to port out my 1g housing to fit
the gasket I got from bullseye-power.

Any feedback would be great!
Thanks guys.

If you're worrying about gasket matching the o2 housing, either port your 1g or upgrade to evoIII, either way you'll have to port. Problem with tubular o2 housings is that they will not match the gasket or the turbine housing and you can't port it. I'm still debating as whether to install my new tubular o2 with the new turbo or my fully ported o2 housing.

Just know that if you get an EvoIII o2 housing, you'll need a downpipe that matches it specifically. Or you could modify the one you have / plan to get. I currently am running a Punishment O2. I wouldn't suggest this o2 housing for it's looks, but it does get the job done. And the opening 'can' be opened up a bit with light porting. I'm hoping to get a Victory Performance one eventually to replace this ugly-looking o2.

Any known issues with the Apexi downpipe and the EVO III housing?
The EVO III is cast, should be easier to port match. WTF
It's a pointless fight... trying to make any DSM mod easy... simple... :|

I'm using the T04b and punishment O2 combo and it's working quite nice actually. I am using this one though:

So I dont have a wastegate passage or tube. The flange on mine fit fine with the opening of the bullseye gasket. I have no problems with it at all.

why so complicated guys?

just in case, 99GST showed an o2 that is setup for an EXTERNALLY WASTEGATED turbo. if you're internal, you DONT want that.

heavily ported 2g o2 housing.. and whatever downpipe you'd like. that is all

I'm running the internally gated T04b with the EVOIII O2 housing. The EVOIII O2 mates up very good with T04b turbo....and yes, if you use the EVOIII O2, you will need a special downpipe that comes off at a different angle--got mine from RRE. If you try a "normal" downpipe, it will hit the transfer case. (I know...because I initially tried to use a 3" Monza Pacesetter downpipe and I had to severely dent it to clear the transfer case).

That all depends on who ported it. Right as we speak I'm comparing side by side, Performance 122 2.5" O2, my own 1g o2 which I ported myself and your heavily ported and polished 1g o2 which you sold to me as a 2g o2 last year, I can see and agree with you 100% that your HEAVILY PORTED 1G O2 HOUSING would have caused a lot of restrictions. ;)

Hey, 1993EclipseGS, where the F are my oil lines? You no longer respond to emails or PM's. You specifically told me it was including lines, and I got none.

Well, Assuming that you bought a turbo that wasen't even used for one month, For A louzy what I don't even remember, $650.00 shipped or less then that? Definatly not more..

Turbo w/ internal wastegate & 38mm flapper - $725.00
Polished compressor housing - What do vendor's charge, $75 - $100?
Shipping - $30.00

thats already $855, I sent you t-bolt clamps @ $8.00 a piece, Not sure how many. A licp 2 1/2" that was put together so that was only a few dollars. $10.00 for the blue coupler..

I realize the price was great. My point was that you specifically told me that it came with certain items (ie oil lines) and failed to deliver.

For those wondering the apexi n1 downpipe fits perfectly fine with the evoIII housing. Ive had mine for about a year now and no problems what so ever

It's call bate and switch. When I confronted him on the o2 being a 1g instead of 2g as advertised, he said it was a good price anyway so I must be a newbie for bitching, ROFL I bought my 90 in 93 when he was still in elementry school. LOL!

Let's try and keep this on topic so we don't get this closed. Anyone who wants to know about Rob's dealings can easily check out his feedback page.

So today I called DSMparts.com and had my order changed from
the Authority SS Downpipe to the Apexi 3"... I HOPE
it infact does match up with the EVO III housing...
It's a little more spendy but I suppose it's worth it if I don't
have to damage the downpipe to make it fit. :|

I notice you are FWD. It seems the problem is the downpipe hitting the xfer case. FWD's don't have a xfer case so that might have something to do with your downpipe bolting up w/o problems. ;)
