Which coolant temp sensor feeds info to ECU?

Well on my 1990 GSX eclipse, there are two coolant temp sensor. One is mounted on the-stat housing and then there is a small one on the bottom. Which is which? Any info would help. Thanks.

Small one is for guage. BIg one for ECU

the ac

the ecu

and one for the gauge

the one for the ecu is the one in the front bottom left of the housing (looking from the front of vehicle) the bigger one of the two sitting together is the one your looking for.
