Hey I know this might be covered in other areas, and i have searched like i always do. I just got this 91 tsi, havent updated my profile yet,i think. Anyway Ive had this starting issue, where it would take a few turns to fire up,and when it does it idles like crap and bogs out when you try to give it gas. Once warmed up enough it throws a cel and runs fine. After using the search to narrow down a few things, i found that either the wires are cracked, unplugged or just disconnected,Or that the coolant temp sensor is junk.
Well thanks to all the posts and this awesome site( Id be lost without it ) I found the issue, one of the wires were snapped off at the connector,Unlugged it and found out under neath the plastic the wire was snapped also. I used the broken connector and took the clips out, wired them up temporarily(until i get either a new connector or my solder gun) and went to start it. Holy hell!! It started up smooth,no rough idle. So thank you dsmtuners.com!
