testing coolant temp sensor WIRES

i need help on my cts i need to know how to test just the wiring going to it the previous owner of the car spliced some wiring onto the stock harness and idk which one goes to which pin on the cts and if they are even working as they should i tryed to find this info and cant find it anywhere please help thanks in advance

o yeah that and how can i test them to see if its doing what its supposed to be doing

ok ill just fix the ghetto wires that have been spliced on because odds are if they are spliced like the other wires i found they are just twisted together and taped

Yes just solder and heat shrink them, fix that and get a new sensor if your unsure and you should be good.

i just replaced sensor and the wires that the guy had going to it were the wrong wires so i just fixed them wires and it still wont start would i have to go in on link and delete that code? also i had a knock sensor code and i had the thing in the wrong plug now to go fix that

but its still gonna show them codes till i erase them right?

On my 90 harness i see no plug for the knock sensor or even wires there i dont know why i was thinking maybe it was a 4g63 na car but that wasnt even a option in an awd car
