Does anyone have a picture of the coolant temp sensor plug. I don't have anything plugged into mine and i'm trying to see where it is supposed to come from. I'm having trouble with hard starts and i've been told the ecu needs this sensor to assist with cold starts.

Are you talking about the hard metal tube that runs along the front of the head? I looked around there but no plugs i could find. I need to know the exact location of the wires source that way i can try to open the harness and find where they broke off at and extend them to the sensor. A picture would really be helpful plus the wire colors.

I don't have a cel. Those pictures are great but i thought the coolant sensor had to spades sticking out. If that's the one the computer uses i have that one and it's plugged in. I guess the one with 2 spades sticking out is for a 1g? I have a 2g with a 6 bolt motor.

do you have a 2g coolant temp sensor. i just ran into this problem with trying to use a 1g coolant temp sensor on a 2g pigtail and i even swapped wires but it was always reading wrong. just put a 2g coolant temp sensor in

I will stick to the 2g coolant sensor. I am just trying to figure out why my car takes so long to start after it sits for about 3 hours or overnight. It cranks for probably 20-30 seconds before starting. After its been running you can turn it off and it will start back immediately. It seems to me like there isn't any fuel pressure after it sits for a while. I'm gonna change the fuel, filter and if that doesn't get it I guess i'm gonna rewire the fuel pump to turn on when the key turns on that way it's primed by the time i turn the motor over.

yea i was having the same problem when I broke the connector to my ECT sensor. Apparently it does that because the motor cant tell how hot/cold it is so it assumes the motor is drop dead cold causing hard starts after it sits.

If you dont have anything plugged into the sensor then that would be the problem, im not sure why you dont have a CEL tho. If you need a extra connector I have 1 one I bought from a buyer on here I can send. Have no need for it. Just send me a Pm.

I do have the 2g sensor plugged in, so i guess it's not my problem, unless it can be bad but not set a cel.
