wiring for the coolant temp sensor

hey guys i need to know how to wire up the coolant temp sensor in my 93 talon tsi. the dude b4[the term is BEFORE] me actually cut the connector off and left just 2 wires. now i know there are 2 terminals on the coolant temp sensor but does it matter which wire goes to 1 terminal

I just had a post about this and I had a bad thermosensor.

I was looking from above downwards (just in front of the car), the green wire goes to the left terminal and the black wire goes to the right side terminal of the connector... I don't know for sure if it will work connected in the oppoiste way... also I don't know what will happen if you connected in the wrong way...

if it was just cut -- you should be able to easly match the wire colors up.
