got a wideband im not gonna be able to wels a bung on there anytime soon and dont really need to not planning on tunning my car with my safc2 untill after the winter acouple more months..In the mean time ive heard people installing it in the rear o2 sensor of the exhaust...Do they take out the rear o2 sensor and just put the widband sensor in there?? if i take out the rear o2 sensor will the car have any bad reaction my cheak engine light on anyway due to 6-bolt and couple of codes throwin out there.

According to his profile, he doesn't have a cat.

Yes, you can install it in the rear o2 bung if you don't want to/can't weld a bung on. The car should not have any bad reaction, but my guess is it will throw a code, unless you plan on wiring it into the ECU for logging purposes. One of the current codes is probably for the rear o2 sensor since it's only job is to check if the cat is there. Not that you'll know that with the other codes you are throwing...

Yea ok thanks great man!...ill probly just put it in the rear for now untill the winter is over and iim goign to do some tunning... Yea i have no cat on there...its throwing acouple codes..one actually is the fuel pressure solinoid?? iduno why its throwing that up? and egr valve i think it was but my emitions are all blocked off... and i believe it was one other one im not sure. I was able to get a scan tool on it couple months back but forgot the codes..

You could run an O2 simulator too if you don't want to add another bung.

On my 1g if your standing on the drivers side, looking back where the A/C compressor was located, you have a straight shot down to the downpipe. This is where I welded my bung in place, so when and if I needed to disconnect the sensor, it could easily be reached from the engine bay, and also did this so it didn't leave a long trail of the wiring harness to the WBO2.

Here's a look at where I put mine.

With the DP still on, take a sharpie marker and draw a dot on the spot where you want the sensor to be. Then drill a hole till you can fit the bung in and have it welded. Install the sensor to the DP then reinstall the DP. With it in this position I used an existing hole that I drilled in the firewall to run my wire to the gauge.
