i have seen the o2 housings with a wastegate on them, i dont understand how it will work if its after the turbo, i thought it had to be before it to set boost and all.

i understand where you are coming from but if its mounted on the o2 housing all of the exhaust would be going to the turbo and not limiting anything right.
Honestly, put a gate at the collector, or put it of the volute of the turbine housing.
There is SO much expansion (and theoretically pressure drop) in exhaust gas from a TD05h turbine into a 3" exhaust, that recirculating the gate pointing down the exh stream might help direct flow and add velocity back into the ex gases.
